• Represent our citizens with integrity – We listen to Métis citizens and work to ensure their voices are heard in regional discussions and decisions. We are committed to fair, ethical, and transparent leadership that reflects the best interests of our communities.

• Support culture, opportunity, and community growth – We encourage programs and initiatives that strengthen Métis culture, support education, promote community wellbeing, and create opportunities for future generations.

• Strengthen our Métis Locals and communities – We support our ten Métis Locals in building strong, connected, and respectful communities throughout Eastern Region 2 through collaboration, openness, and shared goals.

• Lead with accountability and respect – We are committed to responsible decision-making, open communication, and respectful conduct in all areas of our work. We believe leadership should build trust, encourage participation, and serve citizens with fairness and honesty.

What We Do

The Eastern Region 2 Regional Council meets regularly to discuss priorities, address concerns, and make decisions that support Métis citizens across the region. Working together with Elders, Youth, local leadership, and community members, we support cultural programming, education opportunities, and community initiatives that reflect the needs and values of our people. ER2 Regional Council is committed to conducting its work in a transparent, respectful, and accountable manner while following the principles outlined in its Code of Conduct. We strive to keep citizens informed through regular communication, public updates, and shared meeting information whenever appropriate.

If you are a Métis citizen of Eastern Region 2 and are interested connecting with others through shared history or if you would like to apply for one of the programs offered through Metis Nation Saskatchewan, we encourage you to reach out to your Local President and become a member of your Metis Local. Get involved: explore our minutes archive, take part in your local’s meetings and share your ideas, and attend or volunteer at cultural events held throughout Eastern Region 2.
